City to begin fire hydrant flow testing July 31
The City of Morganton will begin flow testing fire hydrants on July 31. The flow testing will last for approximately 9 days.
The flow testing requires a large quantity of water and may disturb sediment that has settled in the City’s water lines. Residents and business owners who notice a discoloration in their water supply should allow an outdoor faucet to run until the water becomes clear again.

- Day 1: Burkemont Ave. & Asheville St.
- Day 2: Forest Hill, Greenbriar, & Henredon Rd.
- Day 3: Burkemont Ave & Ross St. (Lowes & Food Lion)

- Day 5: Government Dr. & Enola Rd.
- Day 6: Old 18, Fiddler Ct, & W. Parker Rd.
